Southern California fires Fires in Orange County and Southern California

Thanks to strong winds and an insane amount of dry brush, California has been hit with some of the most harmful fires to date. Starting in San Bernardino County, due to high gusts at almost 70 mph, the wind-driven fire was first reported around 1:30am on Thursday morning, according to San Bernardino County Fire Chief, Don Trapp. Although firefighters rushed the area, in just a couple hours the roaring blaze engulfed 200 acres and 6 homes. And that's just the start.

Since then, other brush fires have ignited, affecting areas in: Fullerton, Brea, and most recently the Getty Fire right near Brentwood Park and the Pacific Palisades.
